A full-length family session allows us to tell a story about your family - capturing the love, personality, and all-out goofiness of your kids and your relationships with them - everyone gets a chance to have the bond between them captured in front of the lens.

 ABOUT OUR FULL-LENGTH FAMILY SESSIONS

Lily Red Studio is a boutique photography studio located in Washington Park (WashPark), Denver, CO.
Owner and principal photographer is Suzy Rohan.

We offer full-length family sessions that are either in-studio or at outdoor locations in the Denver area.

This session type is available on limited weekdays and weekends in the Spring, Summer, and Fall months. Please email me for a list of recommended locations for your session.
Locations outside of the Denver metro area may require a travel fee. Photography permits and fees may be required for certain locations. Additional family members may be added to your session for $30 per person/pet.

 FAQs

  • Additional digital files are $30 each or you may buy all of the digital files in your gallery for $200 (your gallery will include 45+ images); gift products, albums, and prints may also be purchased through your gallery.

  • PLEASE NOTE - this session type includes light editing. Things like body-shaping, slimming effects, head-swapping, glass flare retouching and extensive skin retouching are available for $10 per image and can be added to your order after you have seen the images from your session.

  • Booking for Full-length Family Sessions may happen throughout the year. If you would like an outdoor session, please make sure to book in the Spring, Summer, or Fall months (September or October; during the months of November through April, only indoor studio sessions are available). Indoor Studio Sessions are available year-round.

  • All clients receive guidance on what to wear and how to prep for your session. You will also receive reminders about your session date, what to bring, and detailed directions on where we’re meeting for our session.

  • Outdoor Family Session locations include Wash Park, City Park, Congress Park, Lair O’ the Bear, Denver Botanic Gardens, Mount Falcon, and Hudson Gardens. You may also suggest a location for your session; travel fees and permit fees may apply and are not included in your session fee. Indoor Family Sessions take place at Lily Red Studio (455 South Williams Street, Denver 80209).

    Every client also receives a style guide tailored to their session in their welcome email after booking.

  • I've been a professional photographer since 2009. I'm also the mother to two girls under the age of eight. There is no situation that I haven’t encountered before. My experience with newborns, toddlers and kids means that I can work quickly and efficiently while keeping it fun. I believe that photo sessions should be a joyful time for family bonding, not a chore. And I am confident in my ability to make that happen. I promise!

  • My photo sessions are designed to be easy. My entire workflow has been designed with you and your busy life in mind.

    Galleries will be available for viewing within ten (10) business days of your session date.

Any digital downloads that are part of your Session Fee or Collection will be available through your gallery. Galleries stay live for 30 days.

  • I describe my style of shooting as a mix between classic and lifestyle - I pose my clients for certain shots and then get those in-between, candid lifestyle type shots when you are interacting with your loved ones. I help you with posing whenever needed (where to stand, placement of hands, angle adjustments for your head/shoulders). I will give you direction whenever needed. For babies, my style is to leave a portion of my session for swaddled shots and any shots where you might want to have your baby in a specific outfit. For baby details (eye lashes, fingers, toes, lips), your baby can wear a diaper (with diaper cover).

    My editing style is light and airy with skin softening and saturation adjustment applied as needed.

  • Most of my style and editing approach is based on full-color portraits. Occasionally, I do throw a black-and-white portrait into the mix when an image calls for it.

  • All clients sign a portrait agreement and while Lily Red Studio retains the copyright to all images, I do respect a client’s request in certain cases to allow them to keep some/all images private - particularly as this relates to boudoir-style maternity sessions or if privacy is necessary due to a client’s type of employment.

  • I help you with posing whenever needed (where to stand, placement of hands, angle adjustments for your head/shoulders). I will give you directions whenever needed and also provide a style guide to take the guesswork out of dressing/styling yourself for your session.
